Note: The program does say Scherzo no. 2, which otherwise Aimi hasn’t played at all this year. It says “in B minor”, which is the key for no. 1, but as the correct opus number (31) is given I assume it really is no. 2 that she’s going to play.

TV Tokyo “Late Night Concert” with Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra conducted by Bo Kin

Venue: Hitomi Memorial Hall, Showa Women’s University

Time: TBA

Program: Chopin Piano Concerto no. 2

Tickets/Contact: None announced

Source of info: Livedoor News 18 May (in Japanese; see Concert schedule section on that page. They cite BARKS news as the source of their information, but I can find no confirmation there). As of 4th July this concert is not listed by Aimi’s pages on To-On or EMI Japan, and the concert is not listed on the YNSO’s calendar or by the concert hall. Hitomi Memorial is a large hall (2,300) and was a premier venue before Suntory Hall was built. If the concert is confirmed, it looks as though it will be a rerun of the celebrated televised concert of January 2006, when Aimi played Mozart’s Coronation concerto, but this time with Chopin no. 2.
